Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains how Tarjimly collects, uses, and protects your personal data and documents when you use the platform. By using Tarjimly you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who we are

Tarjimly (tarjimly.sa) is an online platform based in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, connecting individuals and businesses with certified translation offices and event interpreters. We are the controller of the personal data processed through the platform.

For privacy enquiries: info@tarjimly.sa

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), preferred language, and account type (individual or business).
  • Business data: company name, tax identification number, billing address, and billing email when you register a business account.
  • Documents: files you upload for translation, together with derived data such as word count, page count, language pair, and document type.
  • Order and communication data: order status, quotes, messages exchanged with offices or our support team, and ratings and reviews.
  • Payment data: transaction records, amounts, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers — card details are handled directly by our payment provider.
  • Office and interpreter data: regulatory documents such as commercial registration, tax certificate, ministry approval, and professional certifications.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and usage logs for security and operational purposes.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
  • To fulfil translation orders and route them to the office you select.
  • To calculate word and page counts in order to price your order.
  • To process payments, issue tax invoices, and settle amounts due to offices.
  • To send operational notifications about your orders and account.
  • To review office and interpreter registration requests and verify their documents.
  • To protect the platform against fraud and misuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Your documents and who can see them

Your documents are confidential. A document is made available only to the translation office you direct your order to, and to authorised members of our team where necessary to provide support or resolve disputes.

Text extraction and word counting are performed locally on our own servers. We do not send the contents of your documents to any external artificial-intelligence service, and we do not use your documents to train any models.

Files are stored in private storage that is not publicly indexable and can be accessed only through temporary, authorised links.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following parties, and only to the extent needed to operate the service:

  • Translation offices and interpreters: to view and fulfil your order.
  • Our payment provider (Moyasar): to process card, mada, and Apple Pay payments.
  • Hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers: to run the platform and store files and databases.
  • Map providers: to display office locations on the map.
  • Government and judicial authorities: where required by law or a valid official request.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order and invoice records are retained for the period required by Saudi accounting and tax regulations. You may request deletion of your uploaded documents at any time after an order is completed.

7. Your rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and obtain a copy of it.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, unless we are legally required to retain it.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Object to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with the competent authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tarjimly.sa.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), one-way hashed password storage, and access controls that restrict document access to the parties involved. No method of electronic transmission or storage is, however, 100% secure.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate sign-in, user sessions, and language and theme preferences. We also use aggregated usage analytics to improve platform performance. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page, and we will notify you of material changes by email or within the platform.
